I am a huuuuuge fan of classical music. Give me Brahms, Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Liszt, Bach! Half of my music library is composed (ha!) of performances by some philharmonic or other. Another third is dedicated to soundtracks (most of them of the Howard Shore variety), and the rest is a rabbit hole of 90s R&B, 80s Rock, Disney, and Beyonce. You know, the usual.
And looking at my “Most Played” songs on Itunes…there was a clear winner. Ludovico Einaudi. A contemporary classical composer. The light of my life. A genius Italian composer. I could go on about how much I love this man for a good 10 pages, but instead I will just put the 10 most played songs on my ipod here, a link to a youtube page, and a short description of how the songs made me feel.
Note: All of these songs have been listened to over 150 times on my Ipod. So this does not include the amount of times I have listened to them on CDs, Youtube, or AmazonMusic.

My mood while listening to it: Like I am about to make a House-esque decision on whether or not I should use this experimental treatment for my leg, then do it, and immediately regret it.

My mood while listening to it: Makes me want to swim with dolphins…that can also fly.
Ora – Una Mattina
My mood while listening to it: I feel like crap…mainly because I love this song so much and it reminds me of how much more I need to practice the piano just so I can play this song.
Run – In a Time Lapse
My mood while listening to it: Makes me think about possibly taking up Parkour and going to Rome and running across famous monuments and works of art.
Newton’s Cradle – In a Time Lapse
My mood while listening to it: Like I am in the DaVinci Code and am trying to solve the codex but Ian McKellan is only 10 feet away from me.
Nuvole Bianchi – Una Mattina
My mood while listening to it: I feel like a snow princess (side note: This was the first song I listened to by Einaudi and made me fall in love with his music).
Ancora – Una Mattina
My mood while listening to it: This is a song that reminds me of why I listen to music. It is such a masterful culmination of the entire album Una Mattina.
Primavera – Divenire
My mood while listening to it: The only reason I think this song was played more than “Ancora” is because its a good song to listen to in the morning while getting ready…and I use it to time how much time I spend in the bathroom. I also feel like an archangel getting ready to swipe my enemies…or the patriarchy
